Acceptable Use Policy

Effective August 30, 2026

Purpose: A / B is a preference-testing service. Creators are responsible for the questions, text, URLs, images, concepts, and other material they submit. This policy is part of the A / B Terms of Service.

Creator responsibility

By submitting content, you represent that you have the rights, permissions, and lawful basis needed to provide it to A / B and to display it to the participants or evaluators selected for your study. You are responsible for reviewing all submitted material, including images and linked content, before publication.

Prohibited content and uses

You may not use A / B to create, distribute, recruit for, or analyze research that is unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, exploitative, abusive, privacy-invasive, discriminatory, malicious, or rights-infringing.

Prohibited material includes sexual exploitation or sexual content involving minors; non-consensual intimate imagery; targeted harassment or hateful degradation; credible threats or encouragement of serious violence or self-harm; instructions or solicitation for serious wrongdoing; malware, phishing, scams, or security-evasion content; doxxing or unauthorized collection of personal data; requests for passwords, authentication secrets, payment-card numbers, government identifiers, or similarly sensitive credentials through ordinary survey fields; and content designed to make or facilitate unlawful discriminatory decisions in employment, housing, lending, insurance, education, healthcare, or other high-impact areas.

Images and linked material

The same rules apply to images, screenshots, graphics, photographs, and material reached through submitted URLs. You must not submit content that is illegal, exploitative, non-consensual, infringing, or otherwise prohibited merely because it is provided as an image or external link.

A / B may use automated or manual safeguards to review submitted material, but we do not promise that every image, URL, or other submission will be scanned before publication, and no screening system can identify every violation or avoid every false positive. Publication does not mean A / B has reviewed, endorsed, or approved the legality or appropriateness of submitted content.

Review, removal, and enforcement

A / B may block publication, require wording or content changes, limit distribution, suspend a study, remove or disable content, preserve relevant records, or suspend or terminate access when we reasonably believe material violates this policy, creates legal or safety risk, threatens service integrity, or requires further review.

Automated safeguards are intended as a risk-reduction measure rather than a substitute for creator responsibility. A screening result may be wrong. If a legitimate study is blocked, the creator may revise the material or contact A / B for review.

Reports and legal compliance

If you believe content on A / B is unlawful, exploitative, infringes rights, or otherwise violates this policy, report it promptly through the contact channel identified on the A / B site and include enough information to identify the study or material. A / B may remove or restrict material while a report is reviewed and may make reports or disclosures when required by law.

No circumvention

You may not attempt to bypass content safeguards by disguising prohibited material, altering spelling solely to evade review, hiding prohibited content behind redirects, or otherwise defeating service controls.

Relationship to the Terms

This Acceptable Use Policy supplements the A / B Terms of Service. If this policy conflicts with the Terms, the Terms control. A / B may update this policy as the service, applicable law, or abuse patterns evolve.

Contact

Questions, review requests, and reports of prohibited content may be submitted through the contact channel identified on the A / B site.
